Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Bournemouth single review

The fifth release from the hip London collective Greco Roman Music is a three-track EP from Oxford outfit Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

Opening track, Bournemouth is the outstanding effort here. It starts with chunky two-step beat adorned with glistening Orbital-esque electronics, but this merely lulls you into the false sense of security. Suddenly a bass line hits that, had it existed in the Mesozoic era, forget the comet, this could have been responsible for wiping out the giant reptiles roaming the earth’s wide-open dance floors.

Fortunately dinosaurs’ human successors are better equipped to deal with such forceful vibrations, namely to pogo around waving index fingers in the air. This is survival of the fittest in action and it rocks.

Listen to Bournemouth.
