Bill Wells is a Scottish experimental jazz composer who has worked with the likes of The Pastels and Isobel Campbell, as well as leading his own group, Bill Wells Octet.
Maher Shalal Hash Baz is an enigmatic group based around a trio of Japanese musicians led by composer Tori Kudo.
The two groups meet when Wells traveled to Japan in 2004 after receiving funding from the Scottish Arts Council. The result is uplifting, original and free. What more do you want.
